Lennox Head sits on the New South Wales north coast, where two shore-entry reef sites offer accessible ocean diving in warm, shallow water. Flat Rock and The Boat Channel are both suited to beginners, with depths topping out at eight metres. Water temperatures stay warm through summer and ease back to the low twenties in the cooler months, making a thin wetsuit workable for much of the year. Grey nurse sharks, leopard sharks, spotted wobbegong, eagle rays, and common Sydney octopus have all been recorded here, giving even shallow dives a varied species list.
