Lithuania offers two distinct diving environments: Baltic Sea wreck diving off the coast near Klaipėda, and freshwater lake diving across the interior. The Baltic sites are cold and can be turbid, suiting divers who come specifically for shipwrecks. Inland lakes range from shallow beginner-friendly bays to sites dropping well beyond thirty metres, with shore access available at most of them. Sites are spread across a wide area, served by operators based in Klaipėda, Plateliai, Trakai, and Pasilaičiai, and diver traffic is generally low.
