Bosnia and Herzegovina offers entirely inland, freshwater diving across lakes and rivers. The three sites in our database span a wide range of depth and character: Šićki Kop Lake carries an artificial reef structure reaching around thirty-five metres; Boračko Lake is an altitude site with visibility typically between eight and fifteen metres and a reef running from the shallows into deeper water; and Kaljinski Buk is a very shallow river site suited to buoyancy practice. Freshwater species including sturgeon, European eel, catfish, pike, and the unusual freshwater jellyfish have been recorded across these sites. All sites offer shore entry and are rated suitable for beginners.
