The Cocos (Keeling) Islands sit in the Indian Ocean, a remote atoll group far northwest of the Australian mainland. The water is consistently warm year-round, varying only modestly between the cooler months of late year and the warmer months around late summer. Fin currently lists one site here, The Rip, a shallow reef off West Island where strong currents define the experience and restrict access to advanced divers. Visibility at the site runs good to excellent, and the reef holds turtles, Napoleon wrasse, triggerfish, and a range of reef fish typical of healthy Indian Ocean coral.
