Western Slovakia's dive sites are freshwater lakes and flooded quarries near towns such as Senec, Dunajská Streda, and Dunajská Lužná. All five sites in the database feature artificial reef structures and are accessed from the shore. Depths range from shallow sections suitable for beginners through to deeper sections approaching forty metres. Visibility fluctuates considerably, from a few metres up to thirty metres at the clearest sites, and thermoclines are present at depth. Fish life includes carp, pike, catfish, common perch, European eel, burbot, sturgeon, and freshwater jellyfish, and several sites report submerged objects as part of the artificial habitat.
