The Aldabra Group lies deep in the outer Seychelles, far from the main island chain, and is reached almost exclusively by specialist liveaboard. The sites span a wide range of topography: shallow reef passes, walls, drop-offs, and strong-current drift dives through atoll channels reaching fifty metres. Visibility is highly variable across sites, from modest in the shallower passes to very high in the deeper channels. Species recorded include whale sharks, blacktip reef sharks, green sea turtles, Napoleon wrasse, and hairy frogfish. Assumption Island provides a gentler entry point with sheltered reef and seagrass snorkelling, while the main atoll channels demand solid buoyancy and current experience.
