Assumption Island lies within the Aldabra Group in the remote outer Seychelles and offers two contrasting dive experiences. The northwest coast provides sheltered, shallow snorkelling over reef and seagrass at beginner-friendly depths, while the Assomption transit site drops to forty metres along a wall and drop-off requiring intermediate buoyancy skills. Both sites are reached by boat or short shore entry. Species recorded include whale sharks, blacktip reef sharks, green sea turtles, Napoleon wrasse, and snake eels. Water temperatures are warmest from November through April and drop to their coolest from July to September.
