Amami sits in the East China Sea and Pacific Ocean, and its six sites are built around coral reef and cave environments at accessible depths. Temperatures stay warm throughout the year, rarely dropping below twenty-one degrees Celsius even in the coolest months, and reaching the upper twenties in late summer. The sites range from beginner-friendly reef dives at Coral Garden and Yamamoto Special to the cave at Senma Dragon Hole and the table-coral reef at Villa. Recorded species include green sea turtles, emperor angelfish, ribbon eels, robust ghost pipefish, common seahorses, and seamoths.
