Tanjung Rusa is a dynamic dive site in Komodo National Park that combines wall, reef, and drift diving. Suitable for intermediate divers, the site features depths ranging from 15 to 40 metres. Visibility typically fluctuates between 10 and 30 metres. The defining characteristic of this location is the strong current, which requires excellent buoyancy control and careful planning. Divers must be aware of potential down currents that can develop along the wall without warning. Access is strictly by boat, and entries should only be made after the crew has assessed the current conditions. Divers should move horizontally away from the wall if they encounter unexpected downward water movement.

Karang Makassar is a reef site in Komodo National Park designed for drift diving. Located 1000 metres from shore, this site requires boat access. Divers typically experience depths ranging from 2 to 15 metres, with an average depth of 7 metres. Conditions vary, with moderate currents and occasional surge. Visibility is generally between 15 and 30 metres, and water temperatures remain warm, typically between 28 and 30C. Due to the nature of the drift and potential hazards including jellyfish, strong currents, and surge, this site is suited for intermediate divers. A standard dive at this location lasts approximately 45 minutes.
