Obock sits on the Gulf of Aden at the northern entrance to the Gulf of Tadjoura and offers two contrasting sites. Obock Garden is a shallow reef accessible by shore or boat, suitable for beginners, while La Marche d'Obock is a deep wall descending to nearly seventy metres under extreme currents and is rated advanced. Visibility at the wall is a consistent thirty metres, whereas the shallower garden site records five to ten metres. Recorded species include nurse sharks, blacktip reef sharks, silvertip sharks, whale sharks, bluespotted fantail rays, and green sea turtles. One liveaboard operator, NineCruise, is listed for this area.
