Moravia's dive sites are almost entirely flooded quarries and cave systems, giving the region a character unlike coastal diving anywhere. Artificial reef structures built into still freshwater environments dominate across the three sub-areas: Vysočina, Olomoucko, and Moravian Karst. Wysočina and Olomoucko hold the bulk of the sites, while Moravian Karst offers cave diving at Dul Hranicna for advanced divers. Shallow beginner-friendly quarries sit alongside serious deep sites. Underwater life is freshwater throughout: Pike, Pike Perch, Sturgeon, Sun Perch, and the occasional Freshwater Jellyfish are all observation-backed.

Observation-backed sightings across Moravia's sites include Pike, Pike Perch, Sturgeon, Sun Perch, Common Perch, Carp, Common Carp, and Wels Catfish. The Freshwater Jellyfish is an occasional but real highlight, recorded at a notable proportion of sites. Roach and Rudd also appear, though less frequently.
Many of Moravia's quarry sites are rated beginner level, including Lom Výkleky, Blansko - lom u trati, Lestinka, Lom Borek, Horni Cerekev, and Lom Srní. These offer shore entry, still water, and no current, making them well suited to new divers and training. Advanced divers should look to Dul Hranicna in the Moravian Karst, a flooded cave system reaching considerable depth.
Vysočina holds the largest concentration of sites, most of them shallow to mid-depth flooded quarries with artificial reef structures oriented towards training and recreational diving. Olomoucko includes Lom Výkleky, a beginner-friendly wreck and reef quarry, alongside the deeper Lom Šífr. Moravian Karst is the most specialist sub-area, centred on Dul Hranicna, a flooded cave system recommended for advanced divers only.
All of Moravia's listed sites use shore entry, so boat diving is not a factor here. The quarry format means entry points are generally well-defined and straightforward to locate.
