Pixie Reef is one of the Ribbon Reefs of the Great Barrier Reef, reached by liveaboard from Cairns, and its primary site is Pixie Wall, a wall dropping from shallow to around thirty metres. Currents are moderate but can turn strong, placing this site in the intermediate category. Visibility is frequently good, and the species list includes Napoleon wrasse, whitetip reef sharks, nudibranchs, and clownfish. Water temperatures peak in the wet season months and are at their lowest in mid-year winter.
