Pearl Beach is on the Central Coast of New South Wales, with Umina Beach providing the one dive site in our database. It is a shore-entry reef dive in the Pacific Ocean, with the reef sitting roughly fifty metres from the beach and depths ranging from very shallow to around ten metres, making it accessible to beginners. Conditions are generally calm but tidal currents can develop, particularly near the entrance to local waterways. Water temperatures follow a clear seasonal pattern, warmest in late summer and dropping to the high teens in mid-winter. Species recorded include giant cuttlefish, green sea turtle, eagle ray, eastern blue groper, blind shark, and green moray.
