The species list is diverse for a single site: giant cuttlefish, green sea turtles, grey nurse sharks, spotted wobbegongs, green moray eels, common Sydney octopus, smooth rays, blind sharks, and dusky flathead are all recorded. Water temperatures are mild, peaking in late summer and dropping to the high teens in winter.
