Sand Hollow is a freshwater reservoir in Utah, sitting at an altitude of over three thousand feet, which means divers must plan their ascents and surface intervals accordingly. Shore access makes entry straightforward, and the reservoir holds a range of sites suited to beginners through advanced divers. The main draw is the artificial reef system, centred on a twin-engine Cessna aircraft and a Volkswagen camper van connected by guide lines. Depths run from shallow snorkelling margins down to nearly thirty metres, and a thermocline sits at around twelve metres. Visibility and temperatures are best from late spring through early autumn.
