Tarkhankut occupies the western tip of the Crimean peninsula on the Black Sea and holds the widest variety of dive sites in our database for this coast. The four sites cover wrecks at multiple depths, an artificial reef known as the Alley of Leaders where submerged Soviet-era busts form the structure, and mixed reef and cave terrain. Depths range from very shallow to thirty-five metres, suiting beginners through intermediate divers. Shore and boat entry are both available. Species recorded here include scorpionfish, gurnard, stargazer, dogfish, loggerhead sea turtle, gorgonians, and common moon jellyfish. Fifteen dive operators are listed in the area.
