Tubod sits on the Visayan Sea side of Siquijor Island and offers one of the island's most varied collections of dive sites, with reefs, walls, drift dives, muck, and an artificial reef all within reach. Sites range from very shallow to beyond recreational limits, so beginners and more experienced divers can both find appropriate ground. The protected Tubod marine sanctuary, covering coral reef and seagrass habitat, has documented more than one hundred and seventy species, and divers regularly encounter green sea turtles, nudibranchs, sea kraits, ribbon eels, and peacock mantis shrimps. Siquijor receives less rainfall than much of the Philippines, making Tubod a practical year-round destination.
