Lithuanian Lakes diving is built around a collection of freshwater sites spread across the country's interior, from Trakai in the south to the Aukštaitija region in the north-east. All sites are shore or combined shore-and-boat access, and most suit beginners and those working on skills. Depths across the region range from very shallow to beyond forty metres, so more experienced divers can find a challenge as well. Visibility is variable and generally best during the summer high season. Artificial reef structures at some sites add interest beyond the natural lakebed.
