The Braslav Lakes National Park in northern Belarus contains over seventy lakes set in glacially shaped terrain. Fin currently lists one dive site here: Uklia, a shallow freshwater lake in the Vitebsk Region near Miory. The site is accessible from shore, suits beginners, and sits in a depth range of seven to eight metres, though a thermocline exists at greater depth where temperatures drop sharply. Visibility is generally limited to around two metres, which demands close attention to buoyancy and navigation. Species recorded include carp, pike perch, common perch, catfish, burbot, and freshwater sponge, with water lilies present in the shallows.
