Puri Jati lies on the north coast of Bali, in the Bali Sea west of Lovina. The five sites here are predominantly shallow shore dives over black volcanic sand and small coral patches, with the shallowest site starting from just below the surface and the deepest reaching thirty metres. The area is best known for muck diving, and the species list reflects that emphasis strongly: mimic octopus, wunderpus, coconut octopus, blue-ringed octopus, robust ghost pipefish, ambon scorpionfish, and seamoths are all recorded. All sites suit beginners, and the shallow depths allow for extended bottom times. Water is warm year-round, cooling slightly in the mid-year months.
