Balboa is a historic 375ft shipwreck located 45m off the coast of West Bay and Seven Mile Beach. Originally a lumber vessel, the ship sank during a 1932 hurricane and was subsequently demolished to clear the port for container traffic. Today, the site consists of a shattered skeleton resting at depths between 8m and 15m, with an average depth of 10m.
