The Minsk Region offers two flooded quarry sites close to the capital: Zaslavl Quarry near Zaslawye and Luban Chalk Quarry near Urechcha. Both are shore-entry sites suited to beginners, with depths in the moderate range. Luban is characterised by a distinctive chalk substrate, while Zaslavl features a sand base and submerged objects including a wheelchair at shallow depth. Visibility at Zaslavl can vary from very poor to exceptional, with the clearest conditions reported during winter ice dives. Both sites carry consistently cold water throughout the year. Species recorded include pike, pike perch, perch, catfish, burbot, carp, sturgeon, and freshwater sponge. Three operators are based in towns near Minsk and serve these sites.
