Diving near Kyiv centres on two flooded quarries: Sokolovsky Quarry and Dibrova Quarry, both accessed from the shore. Sokolovsky is the more varied site, with depths reaching well beyond recreational limits and visibility that can swing from poor to excellent depending on conditions. Dibrova is shallow and calm, useful for building confidence. Both sites sit in freshwater and suit beginners through intermediate divers. Species in the water include pike perch, perch, carp, burbot, and sturgeon.
