Ewens Ponds is a spring-fed freshwater system near Mount Gambier, South Australia, consisting of three interconnected limestone ponds. A mild current flows steadily from the first pond to the third, giving divers and snorkellers a natural drift through shallow channels that reach no more than ten metres. Visibility is consistently high, typically between thirty and eighty metres, making it one of the clearest freshwater environments in South Australia. The water stays cold year-round, sitting at its warmest in late summer and cooling further through winter, so a wetsuit is required. Access is managed by the South Australian National Parks and Wildlife Service and is open from December to August.
