Diving in Malargüe

Malargüe offers a small cluster of freshwater dive sites in the high Andes of southern Mendoza province. Laguna Valle Hermoso is a cold lake where temperatures at depth can approach freezing, suited to intermediate divers who are comfortable managing exposure in a drysuit or heavy wetsuit. Pozos de Carapacho is a much shallower site fed by underground lava tubes, with unusually good visibility and a setting appropriate for beginners. La Niña Encantada adds canyon topography at modest depths with visibility reaching up to thirty metres. All three sites are shore-entry, and two operators serve the area.
