Villa La Angostura sits on the shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi, within Nahuel Huapi National Park in the Patagonian Andes, and its diving is defined by cold, clear glacial freshwater. The standout feature is the submerged cypress forest at Bosque Sumergido, where upright trees standing on the lake bed create an unusual overhead environment accessible only by boat. Other sites include reef and wall topography at Ardilla and the very deep Lago Falkner, which offers shore entry and visibility reaching thirty metres. Water is cold year-round, and a seven-millimetre wetsuit or drysuit is standard. Three local operators run trips from Villa La Angostura.
