Mendoza's diving takes place in high-altitude reservoirs and lagoons set within the Andes and its foothills. Sites such as Dique Potrerillos, Dique Los Reyunos, and Dique Valle Grande offer wall and artificial reef topography, with depths ranging from shallow beginner terrain down to significant drop-offs. Water temperatures vary widely, and cold conditions are the norm, particularly at depth. Visibility across the region typically sits between three and ten metres, though Pozos de Carapacho, fed by underground lava tubes, can reach considerably clearer conditions. Both shore and boat entries are available, and several operators serve the region from towns including Godoy Cruz and Luján de Cuyo.
