Toledo Bend is a large freshwater reservoir straddling the Texas-Louisiana border, and diving here is shaped by its warm temperatures and limited visibility. Sites such as the Turbine Channel, Cypress Bend Park, and Pleasure Point Park range from very shallow to around eleven metres, with shore entry available at most locations. Divers come to explore artificial reefs, cypress knees, hydrilla beds, and submerged rock formations, encountering species including channel catfish, temperate bass, white bass, tilapia, carp, and perch. Visibility is typically low, and the Turbine Channel in particular carries strong currents, so awareness of underwater hazards such as old fishing line is important.
