Ross Barnett Reservoir is a freshwater reservoir near Ridgeland, Mississippi, with three shore-access sites spread along its shoreline. Old Trace Park is a shallow beginner site over mud and sand with an artificial reef. Bobby Cleveland Park offers a sandy beach, a wooden pier, and riprap edges where bream and sunfish congregate. Pelahatchie Shore Park is the deepest site, reaching eighteen metres through aquatic vegetation including seagrass, American lotus, and lily pads. Visibility is variable and conditions are generally warm through the summer season, making this a site visited mainly in the warmer months.
