Toledo Bend Turbine Channel is a freshwater artificial reef located near the hydroelectric station. The site features unique rock formations and a spring head that contributes to cooler water temperatures compared to the main lake. Depths range from 1 to 11 metres, with an average of 7 metres. Divers and snorkellers should be prepared for strong currents and variable visibility, which can reach up to 6 metres. Due to the presence of a thermocline and chilly water, a 3mm wetsuit is recommended. The site presents hazards including entanglement risks, low visibility, and strong currents. Access is available via both shore and boat entries.

Cypress Bend Park is a freshwater site located on the Toledo Bend Reservoir, offering shore access to shallow coves. The topography features cypress knees and hydrilla beds, which provide structure for the local environment. Snorkelling depths typically range from 1 to 5 metres, with an average depth of 3 metres. Conditions are generally mild, though visibility is limited to 2 to 5 metres. Divers and snorkellers should be aware of potential hazards including boat traffic, entanglement risks, and low visibility. Deeper water often features significant thermoclines, with temperatures dropping 6 to 11 degrees Celsius below surface readings during summer months.
