The Oregon Cascade Lakes are a collection of high-altitude freshwater sites spread across volcanic terrain in the Oregon Cascades. The range of conditions is wide: Crater Lake offers exceptional visibility reaching up to one hundred metres, while shallower sites such as Timothy Lake see visibility drop to around five metres and surface temperatures warm noticeably in summer shallows. Clear Lake and Viktoria's Wall both feature strong visibility alongside consistently cold water, requiring good thermal protection regardless of season. Shore entry is available at most sites, with a small number of boat-access options. The diving season runs through the warmer months, with June through September offering the most stable weather and the broadest operator support.
