Broken Bow Lake sits in the Kiamichi Mountains of Oklahoma and offers freshwater diving across steep wall and drop-off topography, with depths that extend well beyond recreational limits at some sites. Spillway Cliffs features submerged cliff walls descending to around fifty-six metres, while Carson Creek and the main lake provide quieter cove diving with submerged tree root habitat. Visibility is variable but can reach up to thirty metres in the calmer coves. The Mountain Fork River adds a river snorkelling option at Riverbend within Beavers Bend State Park. Species include catfish, bass, trout, and bluegill. A thermocline typically develops at around eight metres during spring and summer.
