Ohio Quarries covers a collection of freshwater quarry and lake sites across Ohio and the surrounding region, ranging from very shallow training areas to depths of sixty metres at sites such as Nelson Ledges. Site types include artificial reefs, wrecks, and reef structures, with intentionally placed attractions such as sunken vehicles and aircraft fuselages at several locations. Visibility varies considerably by site, from as little as two metres to over twenty metres at the clearest quarries. Species include largemouth and smallmouth bass, pike, channel catfish, freshwater jellyfish, and freshwater sponge. The area is well-served by local operators and suits beginner to intermediate divers.
