Chickens Rock and Burroo Ned sit off the southern tip of the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea and are accessed exclusively by boat. Chickens Rock drops from mid-water to thirty metres and features reef structure with strong tidal currents that make slack-water timing essential. Burroo Ned combines reef, kelp forest, and wreck topography at similar depths. Species recorded across both sites include grey and harbour seals, gorgonians, European spiny lobster, brown crab, cuckoo wrasse, nudibranchs, dogfish, and pollack. Water is cold for most of the year, peaking slightly in late summer.
