Bizerte, in northern Tunisia, has one site in our database: Cani, reached by boat and sitting off the nearby coast. The site combines a natural reef, a cavern section, and an artificial reef structure, with depth running from very shallow down to thirty metres, giving beginners room to explore without committing to deeper terrain. Visibility typically ranges from ten to twenty-five metres. Recorded species include gorgonians, red coral, common octopus, European spiny lobster, sea pike, snake eels, marbled electric ray, and John Dory.
