La Parguera lies on the south coast of Puerto Rico facing the Caribbean Sea, and its defining feature is wall diving. Sites include Parguera's Wall and Efras Wall, where the reef face drops to depths that suit intermediate and advanced divers, alongside shallower boat-access reefs for beginners. All sites are reached by boat from the village. Visibility is good, often reaching into the upper range of what Puerto Rico offers. Species recorded at local sites include Caribbean reef sharks, nurse sharks, whale sharks, green sea turtles, Ridley turtles, common octopus, gorgonians, and snake eels.
