Jaworzno is an inland diving area in southern Poland built around flooded quarries, with shore entry across all sites and depths ranging from shallow shallows to around thirty metres. The flagship site, Koparki, is a former dolomite quarry that flooded rapidly after pumps were shut down in the late nineteen-nineties, preserving two large cable excavators, a small wreck named Wilhelm, a transformer station, a blaster's hut, and conveyor belt elements in place on the bottom. Visibility at Koparki shifts noticeably by season, sitting in the lower range during busy summer weekends and improving considerably in winter and early spring. A thermocline below ten metres keeps deeper water cold year-round, so a drysuit or thick wetsuit is advisable even in summer. The area suits beginners and is also used for technical training.
