Biyadhoo and Vilivaru are two small islands in South Malé Atoll whose surrounding reefs form a compact diving area accessible by both boat and shore. The Biyadhoo house reef allows shore entry and suits beginners, with depths from one to twenty metres and mild conditions. Nearby sites add complexity: Kalhu Thila is a pinnacle with swim-throughs and crevices requiring careful buoyancy, while Nero's Corner combines a reef wall descending beyond thirty metres with a cave system. Noomas Giri and Triton Giri offer intermediate drift diving over pinnacle and drop-off topography. Species recorded include blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, giant moray, dogtooth tuna, and bluefin trevally.
