Tegnue is a vast complex of rocky outcrops located approximately 8 miles offshore from Chioggia. Situated within the outer area of a biological protection zone, the site spans a quadrangular area of roughly 100 metres per side. Divers encounter depths ranging from 17 to 30 metres, with an average depth of 25 metres. Access is exclusively by boat. Conditions include moderate currents and visibility between 5 and 15 metres. A constant, strong thermocline is often present due to freshwater influx and solar radiation. Given the cold seabed temperatures, which range from 9C to 19C, a 5 mm wetsuit is recommended for all dives.
