The Danube-Tisza Lakes region covers freshwater sites spread across the area between Hungary's two great rivers. Both sites in the database are beginner-level, with shore entry and no significant current. Vadna is a deeper site built around an artificial reef structure, reaching down to twenty-five metres and offering visibility that ranges from moderate to good. Szalkszentmarton is shallower, with a reef structure in single-digit depths and visibility around five metres. Species recorded across the region include pike, catfish, roach, European eel, and freshwater jellyfish.
