Lohja is defined by its flooded industrial and quarry sites, with the Ojamo Mine standing out as a technical diving destination. The mine requires advanced cave or technical certification and descends between twenty-eight and forty metres through submerged shafts and tunnels, with visibility that can reach thirty metres. Alongside the mine, the area offers shallower sites including wall dives and an open quarry suitable for beginners, so the range spans two metres to fifty-five metres overall. All sites are shore-entry. Water temperatures are cold year-round, sitting near four degrees Celsius at depth in the mine and varying seasonally at the shallower sites.
