The Zenobia is a roll-on/roll-off ferry that sank on its maiden voyage in nineteen-eighty and now lies on its port side in Larnaca Bay, about one and a half kilometres offshore. The wreck is large enough to require multiple dives to explore: the shallowest accessible sections start at sixteen metres and the deepest reach forty-two metres, making it suitable for intermediate divers while also offering penetration opportunities for those with appropriate training. Over one hundred articulated lorries remain chained inside the cargo decks. The site is a protected area, and marine life including green sea turtles, common octopus, European spiny lobster, and gorgonians is well established throughout the structure. Access is by boat only, and more than fifteen operators are based in the Larnaca area.
