The Necochea area on the Buenos Aires Province coast combines ocean and freshwater diving across four varied sites. Ocean sites include the southern breakwater at Escollera Sur, where reef and artificial reef structures shelter species such as lined seahorse and flying gurnard, and Balneario Tres Arroyos, a rocky shore dive suited to beginners. Inland, two flooded quarries, Cantera El Carpincho near Tandil, which holds a sunken aircraft, and Cantera Villa Mónica in Olavarría, offer sheltered freshwater alternatives with submerged structures to explore. Three local operators support the area, and all sites are shore-entry.
