Tigre Delta diving takes place in freshwater artificial reef sites near Benavídez, close to the town of Tigre north of Buenos Aires. The two sites, Lago del Sol and Tosquera Tarola, are shallow, shore-entry dives suited to beginners. Tosquera Tarola carries a strong current that requires careful planning, while Lago del Sol functions primarily as a training environment. Visibility at both is limited to around five metres, so exploration is close-range. Water temperature follows a clear seasonal pattern, warmest in midsummer and dropping to the low teens in winter, which influences wetsuit thickness. Twelve operators are active in the area.
