Himarë sits along the Ionian Sea on the Albanian Riviera, backed by the steep Ceraunian Mountains. The two sites in our database, Lambjano Bay and Porto Palermo, are both shore-entry reef dives suited to beginners, with depths staying shallow throughout. Rocky bottoms, artificial reef structures, and calm conditions characterise both locations. Visibility can extend up to thirty metres, and the water peaks in warmth during late summer before cooling to around fifteen degrees through late winter and early spring. Wrasses, moray eels, octopuses, scorpionfish, and several species of bream are regularly recorded here.
