Sarandë is the main hub for diving in southern Albania, sitting on the Ionian Sea with two listed sites and two operators. The SS Probitas, a World War Two Italian cargo ship, rests just fifty metres offshore at depths between three and twenty metres and is accessible directly from the shore. It now functions as an artificial reef and supports a varied mix of species including common octopus, gorgonians, snake eels, marbled electric rays, and European spiny lobster. Edon-Bina Beach nearby offers shallow snorkelling over rocky beds. Sites suit beginners and intermediate divers, and visibility ranges from good to excellent depending on conditions.
