Diving in Lewis & Clark Lake

Lewis and Clark Lake is a reservoir on the South Dakota and Nebraska border, offering freshwater diving across a range of environments including artificial reefs, chalk cliff walls, and river diving directly below Gavins Point Dam. The site mix spans beginner-friendly shore entries through to advanced drift diving in the strong currents of the Nebraska Tailwaters. Visibility and conditions vary considerably across sites, with the quarry wall at Atlantic offering a clean descent and upstream sites prone to sedimentation. Paddlefish, sturgeon, walleye, and catfish are among the species divers may encounter.
