Cheney Reservoir is a freshwater reservoir in Kansas, dived almost exclusively from shore at sites including Toadstool Loop, Hobie Beach, and Giefer Creek Beach. Sites are shallow, reaching around thirteen metres at the deepest, and are rated for beginner divers. Visibility is typically short, often between one and three metres, and wind-driven turbidity is a common condition. The reservoir holds channel catfish, carp, largemouth bass, black crappie, bluegill, rainbow trout, and perch. Water temperatures swing widely across the year, from near freezing in winter to very warm in midsummer.
