Koper's single recorded dive site, Žusterna, is a muck dive on the Adriatic coast, accessible directly from the shore. The bottom is silty and the site is shallow, making it well suited to beginners and snorkellers. Despite the modest profile, the species list is notably varied, including cuttlefish, multiple goby species, hermit crabs, sea hares, sea urchins, anemones, and jellyfish. Water temperatures follow a seasonal Adriatic pattern, warmest in late summer and coldest in late winter.
