Lake Velenje is a freshwater lake formed in a former coal-mining area near the town of Velenje. Fin's database holds one dive site here, Pri Čolnarni, a shore-entry reef dive reaching fifteen metres, suited to intermediate divers. The lake holds a variety of freshwater fish including pike, perch, catfish, and carp. Visibility and currents are variable, and cold water and reduced light conditions mean good thermal protection and a torch are advisable.
